Ever wondered how much of what you eat influences your body? This research work I publish on this website focuses on the effect that tannins have on a digestion enzyme called lipase. Tannins are a molecules which can be found in grapes, green tea, acorns and tree bark and are responsible for the bitter taste in them. It has been shown that tannins have an inhibiting effect on many enzymes. In this research work it was the aim to find on the effect tannins have on a lipid breakdown enzyme called lipase.
